Thirps
These pests are found all over the world. There are various species of thrips which attack and feed on the above ground part of the crop. The result of this is dead and dying tissue. Thrips feed on plants at all stages of their life cycle. Thrips also implant viruses and cause a loss of chlorophyll. This in turn produces low crop yield. A serious atttack may result in dessication of leaves and damage to fruits and flowers. |
