Aphytis melinus

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

The California Red Scale is one of the favorite preys of this parasitic wasp, although they will prey on other scales scales as well. These wasps are shipped as adults, and the females in turn lay their eggs within the scale. Each of these wasps kills more then 30 scales. The Aphytis has a life cycle of 26 days, and preforms ideally at 80 degrees.
 

Release Rates: One to two wasps per square ft. Three applications usually are required for optimum control. One every release seven days is recomended.
